Nathan is a rising star of Scottish performance - having worked with the BBC, STV, Oran Mor, Traverse theatre, and Bard in the Botanics. He was nominated as 2017's Up and Coming Actor at the Scottish Variety Awards.
Nathan was most recently seen in the Season 6 opener of Outlander, as well as The State of It - a brand new sketch show for the BBC Scotland channel.

Writer
Nathan has written for a number of successful shows including Scot Squad, Only an Excuse?, Noising Up and Breaking the News. He was part of the core writing team for the 6-part sketch series The State of It; as well as lead writer for Scotland Unsolved, a spin off from the BAFTA winning Scot Squad.
Most recently he was commissioned for Queen of the New Year - a brand new festive sketch show lead by comedy legends Greg Hemphill and Robert Florence; and was one of the lead writers on Get Set Galactic - a new show for CBeebies that introduces science concepts to wee ones in a fun and informative way.
As well as this, Nathan has written and starred in a number of successful Short Stuff sketches for BBC online platforms - with his work receiving over 8 million views online.
Nathan began writing and performing his own comedy shorts in 2015. These were noticed by the BBC, who invited him to take part in BBC Comedy’s Fast and Funny scheme - a year’s internship that saw him working closely with the Comedy department and the Writer's Room to develop and create new comedy shorts. Nathan’s work was also chosen to launch BBC The Social at the end of 2015, a brand new platform for up and coming Scottish creators to showcase their work.
Producer
Nathan has developed and produced a number of successful comedy commissions for broadcast, digital, and radio alike. Most recently he worked as Assistant Producer on Series 5 and 6 of Frankie Boyle's New World Order.
2021 saw Nathan develop, pitch, and produce Two For One - a brand new mini sitcom for the iPlayer. Written by and starring Kendra McPherson with Joyce Falconer. He also helped bring BBC Scotland documentary Cancel Karen Dunbar to screens over the summer of 2021.
Having successfully produced his own work for a number of years, Nathan joined The Comedy Unit from 2018 - 2020 and produced a slate of new projects. 2019 saw him produce Scotland Unsolved (a spin-off from the BAFTA winning Scot Squad starring Louise McCarthy and Julie Wilson Nimmo) as well as The State of It, a brand new 6-part sketch show hosted by Robert Florence. He also directed Archie Pepper: Leaders off the Record - a series of shorts that saw the popular Scot Squad character interviewing Scotland’s political leaders in the run up to the 2019 general election.
The State of It and Archie Pepper: Leaders off the Record were nominated for Best TV Show and Best Online Content at the 2020 Scottish Comedy Awards.

Nathan is also a Presenter/Producer for the Future Games Show on YouTube. Writing, self-shooting, and editing his own videos.
He recently co-hosted the Future Game Show Spring Showcase Expansion Pack to over 500K viewers.
