Nathan is an award nominated actor, writer and producer who has worked extensively in film, theatre and television throughout Scotland. 



Training at Scottish Youth Theatre, Nathan was asked to join SYT Productions; Scottish Youth Theatre's high profile, high quality theatre company. With SYT Productions, Nathan was involved in many productions - performing throughout Scotland as well as touring to London.


At the age of 16, Nathan was chosen from performers throughout Scotland to present children’s television on STV. Nathan continued this work while studying at Glasgow University and upon graduating began a successful career in theatre; working with companies such as the Oran Mor, Traverse theatre, and Bard in the Botanics. As well as appearing in a variety of TV adverts and shows such as Armchair Detectives, Teacup Travels and Burnistoun Tunes In.


Nathan was most recently seen in The State of It, a brand new sketch show for the BBC Scotland channel, as a core member of the sketch cast.


He was nominated for Up and Coming Actor at the 2017 Scottish Variety Awards.

Nathan began writing and performing his own comedy shorts in 2015. These were noticed by the BBC, who invited him to take part in BBC Comedy’s Fast and Funny scheme - a year’s internship that saw him working closely with the BBC Comedy team throughout 2016 to develop and create online comedy shorts.


Nathan’s work was also chosen to launch BBC The Social at the end of 2015, a brand new platform for up and coming Scottish creators to showcase their work. He also wrote and starred in a number of successful Short Stuff sketches for BBC online platforms, as well as writing gags for BBC Radio's Breaking the News - from which he was invited onto the show as a panellist.


After joining The Comedy Unit in 2018, Nathan has written for a number of successful shows. He was part of the core writing team for The State of It, as well as lead writer for Scotland Unsolved, a spin off from the successful Scot Squad series focussing on Scotland’s unsolved mysteries.


Having successfully produced his own work for a number of years, Nathan joined The Comedy Unit in 2018 and began producing a number of new projects. 2019 saw him produce Scotland Unsolved and The State of It, as well as directing Archie Pepper: Leaders off the Record - a series of shorts with the popular Scot Squad character interviewing Scotland’s political leaders before the 2019 general election. 


The State of It and Archie Pepper: Leaders off the Record were nominated for Best TV Show and Best Online Content at the 2020 Scottish Comedy Awards.

Nathan also creates comedy video essays on YouTube, mainly about video games. Having great experience with Premiere Pro and Photoshop, Nathan self-shoots and edits all this work himself.
